Dyddiad cau newydd ar gyfer Gwobrau Twristiaeth Werdd Eryri, 2007 - Mai 8fed 2007

New deadline for the Green Snowdonia Tourism Awards, 2007 - May 8th 2007

Mae gan fusnesau twristiaeth Eryri wythnos yn ychwanegol erbyn hyn i ddangos eu bod wedi cymeryd y camau cywir i leihau’r effaith amgylcheddol ar eu gweithgareddau. Gall y busnesau hynny sydd yn dychwelyd y ffurflenni cais am Wobr Twristiaeth Werdd Eryri, 2007 erbyn Mai 8fed ennill gwobr ariannol o £500.

Mae’r meini prawf ar gyfer cofnodi a’r ffurflenni cais ar gael gan Emma Edwards- Jones yn Nghymdeithas Eryri, rhif ffon 01690 720287, neu gallwch eu llawrlwytho o wefan www.eryri-gwyrdd.co.uk.

Mae Gwobr Twristiaeth Werdd Eryri yn dathlu arfer dda mewn datblygu cynaliadwy ac yn cydnabod y busnesau hynny yn ardal Eryri sydd yn dangos eu bod yn weithredol iawn i wella’u perfformiad amgylcheddol. Mae’r beirniaid yn chwilio am y busnesau sydd yn dangos ymrwymiad i ymarfer amgylcheddol dda, a’r rheini sy’n dangos bod eu hymwelwyr a’u staff yn gwerthfawrogi gwerth yr amgylchedd i dwristiaeth.

Dywedodd Emma Edwards-Jones, Cydlynydd Prosiect Ynni a Thwristiaeth Cynaliadwy i Gymdeithas Eryri, “’Rydym yn awyddus i glywed gan y busnesau hynny sydd wedi gwneud ymdrech i wneud yn siŵr fod twristiaid yn dathlu amgylchedd brydferth Eryri tra’n gostwng ei effaith. Yn benodol fe hoffem glywed gan y busnesau sydd ar gychwyn gwella eu perfformiad amgylcheddol ynghyd â’r rheini sydd eisoes wedi ymrwymo i gynaladwyedd. Efallai fod busnesau yn Eryri sydd wedi torri tir newydd i rhyw achos amgylcheddol- gall £500 roi’r cymorth i chwi ddatblygu hyn ymhellach a gallwn ninnau ledaenu’r neges am yr entrepreneuriaid gwyrdd yn cuddio’n y mynyddoedd!”

Tourism businesses now have an extra week to demonstrate that they have taken steps to minimize the environmental impact of their activities.  Those businesses who return their completed application forms for the Green Snowdonia Tourism Awards, 2007 by May 8th could win a cash reward of £500.

Details of the entry criteria and application forms can be obtained from Emma Edwards-Jones at the Snowdonia Society, Tel 01690 720287, or downloaded from www.green-snowdonia.co.uk,

The Green Snowdonia Tourism Awards celebrate good practice in sustainable development and recognize businesses in the Snowdonia region who demonstrate that they are being pro-active in improving their environmental performance.  The judges are looking for businesses who show a commitment to good environmental practice, and those who ensure that their visitors and staff fully appreciate the value of the environment to tourism.

Emma Edwards-Jones, the Snowdonia Society’s Sustainable Energy and Tourism Project Co-ordinator, said ‘We are keen to hear from businesses who have made an effort to ensure that tourism celebrates Snowdonia’s stunning environment whilst minimizing its impacts.  In particular we would like to hear from businesses who are just starting to improve their environmental performance as well as those already committed to sustainability.   Perhaps there are businesses in Snowdonia who have taken an innovative approach to an environmental issue – ₤500 might help them to develop this further and we can spread the word about the green entrepreneurs hiding in the mountains!
