Workshop for Holiday Park Owners/Managers: How to
improve your profitability whilst reducing your carbon footprint |
|
Mae
Prosiect Eryri Werdd Cymdeithas Eryri yn gwahodd perchnogion/rheolwyr
parciau gwyliau i weithdy yn rhad ac am ddim i drafod sut all Parciau
Gwyliau yn ac o amgylch Eryri wella eu gallu i wneud elw wrth leihau
eu ôl-troed amgylcheddol. Mae amgylchedd
hardd Eryri yn rhan fawr o’r hyn sy’n denu pobl i’r rhanbarth ac ni all neb
osgoi’r negeseuon cyson yn y cyfryngau sy’n annog pobl i leihau eu ôl-troed
carbon. Fodd bynnag, gall dyfalu
beth yw’r gwelliant mwyaf buddiol i’ch busnes o safbwynt yr amgylchedd ac o
safbwynt ariannol fod yn broses ddryslyd. Bydd y
gweithdy hwn, a weithredir ar y cyd â Pharc Gwyliau Greenacres Haven Holidays
a’r Ymddiriedolaeth Garbon yn darparu cyngor ymarferol, manwl a pherthnasol
i’r ardal yn ogystal â darparu fforwm i drafod profiadau bobl eraill sydd
wedi gwneud gwelliannau amgylcheddol. Lleoliad: Parc Gwyliau Greenacres, Morfa
Bychan, Porthmadog Dyddiad: 28
Chwefror 2008 Amser: 2pm - 4.15pm Siaradwyr a Phynciau: Emma Edwards-Jones (Swyddog Prosiect Eryri Werdd, Cymdeithas
Eryri) Croeso a chyflwyniad i Broject Eryri Werdd, yn cynnwys arweiniad
byr am arwyddocâd twristiaeth gynaliadwy mewn perthynas â
pharciau gwyliau. Catrin Beckett (Cydlynydd y Tîm Gwyrdd, Parc Gwyliau
Greenacres) – Dull Greenacres o fynd i’r afael â thwristiaeth
gynaliadwy. Steve Jones (Ymddiriedolaeth Garbon) – Dulliau ymarferol o
leihau ôl-troed carbon eich safle. Dylai
unrhyw un sydd â diddordeb mewn mynychu’r cwrs gysylltu
gydag Emma Edwards-Jones yng Nghymdeithas Eryri ar 01690 720287, neu
twristiaeth@cymdeithas-eryri.org.uk. Arweinir y prosiect Eryri Werdd gan Gymdeithas Eryri gydag arian gan Gronfa Datblygu Cynaliadwy CAE (a weinyddir gan Awdurdod Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri) a Chyngor Cefn Gwlad Cymru. |
The
Snowdonia Society’s Green Snowdonia Project is inviting holiday park
owners/managers to a free workshop to discuss how holiday parks in and around
Snowdonia can improve their profitability whilst reducing their carbon
footprint. The
beautiful environment of Snowdonia is a big part of what attracts tourists to
the region and no-one can escape the constant messages in the media telling
people to reduce their carbon footprint. However, working out what is the most environmentally and
financially beneficial improvement to make to a business can be a confusing
process. This
workshop, run in conjunction with Haven Holidays’ Greenacres Holiday Park and
the Carbon Trust will provide practical, detailed and locally relevant advice
and will provide a forum to discuss the experiences of others with respect to
environmental improvements. Venue: Greenacres Holiday Park, Morfa
Bychan, Porthmadog Date: 28th February 2008 Time: 2pm - 4.15pm Speakers and Topics: Emma Edwards-Jones (Green Snowdonia Project Officer,
Snowdonia Society) - Welcome and introduction to Green Snowdonia Project,
including a brief guide to what sustainable tourism means with respect
to holiday parks. Catrin Beckett (Green Team Co-ordinator, Greenacres
Holiday Park) - The Greenacres Approach to sustainable tourism. Steve Jones (Carbon Trust) - A practical approach to
reducing the carbon footprint of your site. Anyone
interested in attending should contact Emma Edwards-Jones at the Snowdonia
Society on 01690 720287, or tourism@snowdonia-society.org.uk. The Green
Snowdonia project is led by the Snowdonia Society with funding from the CAE
Sustainable Development Fund (administered by the Snowdonia National Park
Authority) and the Countryside Council for Wales. |
